  17. Jeff Kuntz

Great job with the giveaways. I like the “what’s it gonna be next” feeling associated with it. I like the way you guys pick a variety of things and don’t just stay with the same type of stuff. Not only does it show what your store has to offer but it keeps up interest in new products and name brands. I also really like your catalogs and the fact that real people that use the stuff are making them and add their comments to some of the product descriptions.

  18. Tim Frazier

  20. Greg

Not to be greedy or anything, but I would love to get my grubby bruised knuckles on a Vanquish reel.

  21. Bill Frangos

Go a bit retro… What drew me to your catalog in the first place were some of the stories and fly recipes that adorned your early issues. I love the color catalog but add a few personal endorsements and experiences… fly recipes that incorporate some of the new materials and your experiences with them. Just Saying… Go a bit retro to where you all began… I did get a chance to visit your store this past year and know that you present a big company image to the public, but are still the local fly shop with a personality all its own. Show that!

  22. Hardy Cornwell

For the next giveaway, how about a selection of “Vest Gadgets” like retractors, nippers, tippet spool, hemostats, line dressing, etc, already assembled on a lanyard, maybe?

  23. henry marcucella

anything else is mostly mentioned above, by others.
keep up the good work guys and gays. happy roads to the lakes and rivers. Rod Earl

  76. Steven Thomas

Why not put a dollar value on the prize? I myself like many others have so many different items with regards to flyfishing, that is hard to say what someone would really want and or need at any given time. Letting a fisherman choose an item that he or she may really need ( or wish for ) would be great.
    Tight Lines
    Capt. Steven thomas

  77. Rene de Guzman

How about Marc Petitjean set of tools? A Simms G3 guide pants would be nice.

  78. Brent Goodman

I’m interesting in tryingo out the Clear Cure Goo kits and the Sage DXL Typhoon Waist Pack – Large.

  79. Ron from Pa.

I wish at times I had a wading stick, as I venture onto other waters i realize how helpful it would be.

  80. floyd

Everyone has made great ideas on items for the give-away. One idea could be the type of line and a furled leader of your pick.with backing on a spare spool of choice.

  97. james owens

how about a pair of wding boots

  98. John Donohue

How about the Sage small waist sack? I do a lot of walking the beach sightfishing snook and this would be perfect to stay hands free.

  106. Karl Weuste

SIMMS pursuit sandels and wading socks would be great to have for the hot summer

  107. Tony Holm

The sage chest and waist packs would be good since it would be useful to anyone who fly fishes, regardless of type of fish you search for.

  108. Leo

I was originally going to ask for a fly line, but I see others have asked for a gift certificate and I think that’s an even better idea. Like someone else already said, so much to choose, so little time.

  109. Dave

A Sage Smallmouth Bass Outfit or Sage DXL chest pack would be great!!!

  110. Mel Stephens

How about a Sage DXL Typhone Chest Pack pack…That would be a great giv away!

  112. John Z

Thanks for asking! How about a Vanquish reel, Sage bass rod or a gift certificate? There are so many great things in the catalog it is hard to narrow it down!

  113. Karli-Rae Kerr

I’d like to see one of the chest packs, or some of those new gateway hooks. I’d personally like to see more items given away, but items of less monetary value – that way more people can win overall. Or just $10-20 gift cards so they can pick out what they need. I’d know I’d use them! I am coming to FeatherCraft in August, so excited!

  114. Steve Currier

As always a great catalog. I’d think everyone could use a Titan Rod vault, I know it would look great on top of my fishing ride.

  118. Bruce Ritter

    The Vanquish Reel/extra Spool–no question.

  119. Dave

Why not just give away everything in the whole catalog? Should be enough to satisfy everybody!!!

  120. Joe

I’d love to see some “green” or fish-friendly product(s) as a giveaway, like the “eco-grip” wading shoe. Seems like these sorts of products can be slow to catch on, so a bit of publicity and getting a lucky winner out talking about ‘em might be the ticket. Some sort of kit/package might be cool too- tying goodies, nymphing goodies (line, leader, and some flies?) or the like.

  121. Colin Hurd

    Vanquish!

    Winston 11′ 7wt

  122. Wayne Roadifer

How about a 4-6 wt reel.

  123. Carol

Assorted fly lines would be great!

  124. Josh Mills

I can always use a new switch rod, 5 weight or 7

  125. Mike

    Evan,

Got to move away from felt, so the Dan Bailey Eco Grips seem appropriate for me and the environs,

    Thx,

    Mike

  126. Rob Kissel

I’d like to see a wading staff

  127. Kelly L

I like the idea of a gift certificate too. That way you can choose what you want, or need. For a bass fisherman, a trout line would not be very good. For a trout fisherman a salt water fly line would not work. So a gift certificate would work for everyone!

  128. Duane Oehmen

I’d like to see new boots

  129. Ronald Obringer

Catalog looks great…online was really easy to use. I’ll give you three items I would love to see you give away…the Simms Pursuit Sandals, the Feather Craft Furled Leaders, and the Buff Pro Series Anglers gloves.

  130. Pam Corley

    Waist pack

  131. Marv

I have to agree with some of the posts and request a 4 – 6 wt reel and/or some furled leaders and tippet material

  132. Norm

Like the catalog, how about the Waterworks Vanquish reel 8wt.

  133. Scott V

Boots would be a great giveaway since they are trying to get away from felt, and if people are like me they can not afford a new pair of boots.

  134. Tim Larkin

How about a fly giveaway, everyone needs them, and since they’re less expensive than most items, you could give to more people.

  135. Paul Steinway

How about the simms wet wading sandal.

  136. Rich

How about the Sage waist packs?

  137. Brandon Harmon

How about a Waterworks Vanquish 5.6 LT. That would look mighty fine on my 6 wt!

  138. Oren Rogers

How about some rubber soled wading boots to replace the felt soles most of us are still wearing.

  139. Ron

I kinda like the TITAN ROD VAULT. I like to go out with more than one red at a time, and with this, I can have more then one ready and untangled.

  140. Big John

How about a fly fishing trip to Alaska or the Keys? That way, I can use all the gear I havent won in the previous giveaways!

  141. Tim

A nice size gift certificate then the winner gets to think hard and will probably ad to the order!!!!!

  142. FRED

How about a fly box assortment. Box with self threader, a dry box, a nymph box a steamer box, saltwater box etc.

  143. Ed Vanover

A Clear Cure Goo assortment for everyone who comments would be a great give-away. :)

  144. Matt J

I scanned the comments and would like to echo a few choices:

    A Renzetti Traveler

Non-Felt wading shoes (I’m in dire need!!)

Fly tying kit case (I didn’t see one, I just want one)

A Fly box assortment including a/some saltwater sizes would be great

A premium fly tying tool set (again, I didn’t see one, I just want one!)

  145. Rick S.

I would like to see the winner be allowed to choose the prize.

  146. Alan

Goretex is great, but it is even more important to get a pair of waders that match leg length and shoe size. Additionally, a wading belt, and wading changer (such as the Patagonia) and a travel bag to keep everything in great condition would also be important.

  147. Bill Mauk

redington ct 5 wt fly rod or Redington rise fly reel Thanks

  148. John Bielinski

    The new Loomis Fky Rod

  149. George Harmeling

A selection of products such as Fish Skull and samples of Clear Cure Goo and a light. Maybe some other tying products in a pack would be good.

  150. Ron Sanders

What I would like to see in a give-a-way is somthing for the non-swimmers and those of us who are getting a litte age on our selves. Like a self-inflatable vest and wading staffs, somthing with safety in mind which is a subject much too overlooked.

  151. Richard T.

The Mark Petijean ‘Thread Through’ bobbin, or the Sage ‘Typhoon’ waist pack would be awesome…in the end whatever you guys choose anyone of us would love to have…Thanks!

  152. Dennis R

    1 Sage DXL Waist Pack
2 Marc Petijean MP Thread Through Bobbin

  153. James

The Typhoon waist pack would be a great choice.

  154. Jim Normandin

I think a selection of furled leaders, matching tippet spools and some wet wading shorts would be nice

  155. Don P

I would like you to personalize your publication with more information and tips. Y’all are a fount of knowledge and are so willing to share that knowledge when I call with questions. keep up the good work!!!!

  156. Carole G

Personally, if you said I could pick out anything in the catalog, it would be any one of the HMH vises

  157. dave

How about a Lamson Konic reel?

    Dave

  158. BronxFlyGuy

    Non-felt Wading shoes.

  159. nyflyguy

Typhoon waist pack or fly tying supply list (hooks, eyes, legs, new materials, etc.)would be nice.

  160. Ron

    Wading staff

  161. Chris J.

the Waterworks Vanquish reel would be great. or the Redington classic trout rod series.

  162. Jim H

A Clear Cure Goo package including the UV light, thin and thick applicators with the Clear Goo would make a good giveaway item for flytiers.

  163. Shafiq Islam

How about a whole sage 6w kit and a Renzetti vise…Now that would make it my day…:)

  164. Chad

I think an assortment of flies; GA Bullfrog, hairy fodder, and grim reaper. They would be a nice addition to my bass box

  165. James

How about a switch rod kit?

  166. James Donner

I would like to see a few nice capes at least 1 grizzly. 2-3 boxes of hooks too

  167. Bill Mather

    A self flotation vest??

  168. Mick

I like the Water Works Vanquish reel.

  169. Ryan lee

I would have to say the Titan rod vault or a really nice assortment of all the new fly tying materials.

  170. james s lenon

The ultra-thin fly boxes, magnetic and foam, are wonderful products to reduce wasted space in vests and packs.

The Vanquish reel is the sexiest looking reel I’ve ever seen.

  171. Jimmy G.

How about an RL Winston rod?!

  172. becky

2-3 day weekend of lessons from you guys

  173. Steve

Give away something but not the whole store!!!

  174. jim c

i think a gift certificate would work

  175. Greg Woods

I would like to see a some more reels, or some fly boxs like do 10 different winners at a time or some thing.

  176. Rusty

There’s so many great products that it’s too hard to choose 1 or 2 items. Why not give away gift certificates?

  177. Randy Shackleford

Way too many things to choose from, but a new rod is always great.

  178. Tom

    next give away?

Winston switch rod blank with guides, cork rings and thread.

  179. tom

I can always use another quality reel. Or a gift certificate.

  180. Todd B.

  181. Al H

    I’m not too picky!
